Travel stories, a city trip to Lisbon in Portugal the Oceanario aquarium

The Oceanario is about a 10-minute walk from the metro. The Oceanario is one of the largest aquariums in the world. Sometimes there are also temporary exhibitions in the Oceanario. During our visit there was an exhibition about sea turtles. For this you had to buy a combi-ticket (16 EUR).

The aquarium Oceanario has an immense central basin in which many different fish and sharks can be found: mobulas, guitar sharks, different types of rays, black and white point reef sharks, sand sharks, zebra sharks, large groupers, snappers, trivuli, moray eels, barracudas, mola mola angelfish, bonito's, jacks, etc. You really get too short to admire all fish. There are also different levels of altitude, from which you can continuously admire this relatively active population and through which you also seem to discover new aspects every time.

In addition, there are also separate climate regions in the Oceanario, including puffins, Magellan penguins and sea otters. Finally, visitors are guided through smaller aquariums of the Oceanario with Australian dragon fish, (luminous) jellyfish, brightly colored tropical fish, amphibians, etc. You can watch the thousands of fish for hours and it is a bit of a fright when you get out of the Aquarium Oceanario and looks at your watch.
